FARM LAKES RETREAT · GREAT WAKERING, ESSEX
Exclusive fishing. Proper space.
Two carefully managed waters on a working 1,000-acre farm: serious carp fishing on Scarlett's Lake and traditional single-rod day fishing on the Specimen Pond.
THE FISHERY
Built around the fishing
Farm Lakes Retreat is a privately run fishery near Great Wakering in South East Essex. The lakes have been comprehensively restored, restocked and landscaped to create two distinctly different experiences.
Angler numbers remain deliberately low. Scarlett's offers longer carp sessions and exclusives for up to four anglers; the Specimen Pond provides peaceful day-ticket fishing for a maximum of six anglers using one rod each.
Both waters are managed around fish welfare, a quiet atmosphere and giving anglers enough room to fish properly.

Scarlett's Lake
A mature four-acre carp lake with more than seventy carp over 30lb and fish over 40lb. Book a double swim for up to two anglers or reserve the whole lake for a maximum of four.
Generous swims, varied features and carefully managed stock create a focused carp-fishing experience.
RELAXED DAY FISHING
The Specimen Pond
