The Lake
Scarlets Lake boasts a diverse range of depths and features, making it an exciting and thought provoking location for fishing. The lake ranges from 4ft to 15ft in depth, with an average depth of 11ft. Its varied underwater landscape includes sand margins, gravel plateaus, bars, and a distinctive blue clay bottom. These features provide excellent habitats for fish and offer anglers numerous strategic spots to explore all fishing from one bank.
One notable feature of Scarlets Lake is its freedom from extensive aquatic weed, providing anglers with a very hassle-free fishing experience. You can focus on your angling tactics without the worry of weed interfering with your lines or bait presentation.
Scarlets is a farm irrigation reservoir and the water levels can fluctuate. However, thanks to the beautiful sand margins in our double swims, this does not cause an issue when it comes to the angling experience.

Scarlets Lake offers an exclusive and intimate fishing experience with 6 well-maintained swims, accommodating a maximum of 4 anglers. This includes two double swims, each equipped with electricity, situated in two corners of the lake. These double swims provide access to half the lake each, allowing for strategic fishing opportunities. The remaining 4 swims are located along the road bank, providing equal access to numerous lake features.
Anglers have the flexibility to double up in the corner swims for a more social experience or utilize the road bank as four separate swims. Either way, you’ll be close enough to the rest of your party to enjoy the social side of fishing and be there to help and witness some amazing fish captures with your friends.
The four road bank swims are only available for lake exclusive bookings. During low water, they cannot be used, and only the two double swims are available.
All swims are within an 80 yards of the toilet, shower and anglers kitchen facilties. Each double swim has a car park adajent to it and you are able to drop your gear at any of the roadbank swims.

A Transformation Journey
Once a run-down and neglected water body, Scarlets Lake has undergone an incredible transformation. The restoration project has been extensive, involving the planting of over 6,000 aquatic plants to rejuvenate the ecosystem and enhance the lake’s natural beauty.
Several islands and a large spit were removed to open up the water, creating a more expansive and navigable environment for both fish and anglers. Extensive swim rebuilding has ensured that anglers can enjoy comfortable and accessible fishing.
