THE WATER
Varied, clear and thought-provoking
Scarlett's ranges from four to fifteen feet deep, averaging around eleven feet. Sand margins, gravel plateaux, bars and its distinctive blue-clay bottom provide numerous areas to explore, all fished from one bank.
The lake is largely free from extensive aquatic weed. As a working farm irrigation reservoir, its water level can fall significantly through summer. More sand margin becomes exposed and some road-bank swims may be unavailable, while the double swims remain designed to fish effectively at low water.
THE STOCK
A remarkable head of carp
Scarlett's holds more than seventy carp over 30lb, with fish now breaking the 40lb barrier. It is a genuine big-fish water with a broad stock of distinctive mirrors and commons—not a venue built around only one or two headline carp.
Capture records help the fishery follow the development of its fish over time.
SWIMS & ANGLING
Space for the whole session
Two double swims
Purpose-built corner swims with electricity, each offering access to roughly half the lake and suited to pairs.
Four road-bank singles
Available for lake-exclusive bookings. During very low water some may be unavailable.
An acre per angler
A maximum of four anglers ensures meaningful space, quiet banks and room to adapt.
Easy access
Gear can be dropped at road-bank swims and every swim is approximately 80 yards or less from the shared facilities.

Everything close to the swims
Facilities are shared by Scarlett's anglers and positioned within easy walking distance of every swim.

Anglers' cabin, bathroom with toilet and basin, plus a separate modern shower room.

Microwave, kettle, toaster, sink and dining space for longer stays.
Power
Plenty of charging sockets and a dedicated outdoor bait-boat charging area.
Practical details
Washing and cleaning products are supplied. Scarlett's nets, mats and relevant handling equipment are provided.
RESTORATION
From neglected reservoir to established fishery
Scarlett's was comprehensively re-landscaped and restored. Islands and a large spit were removed, swims rebuilt and more than 6,000 aquatic plants introduced.
