SCARLETT'S LAKE

Exclusive carp fishing

A mature four-acre reservoir holding more than seventy carp over 30lb and fish over 40lb. Book one of the double swims for up to two anglers, or reserve the whole lake for a maximum of four.

Two double swims and four exclusive-use singles · depths from 4ft to 15ft · maximum three rods per angler · kitchen, shower, toilet and charging facilities.

THE SPECIMEN POND

Traditional day fishing

An intimate one-acre pond of lily pads, reeds and planted margins. The varied stock includes quality tench, bream, perch, silver fish and large eels.

Single-rod day tickets · maximum six anglers · depths from 3ft to 7ft · float and suitable feeder or ledger tactics · bring the fish-care equipment required by the rules.

Choose the right water

Both lakes are quiet and carefully managed, but the fishing, booking arrangements and character are intentionally different.

Scarlett's sessions

2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 days, or a full-week exclusive. Night fishing is included.

Specimen Pond sessions

8:00am–7:00pm or dark, whichever is earlier. No night fishing.

Angler numbers

Maximum four on Scarlett's and maximum six on the Specimen Pond.

Booking

Scarlett's is booked through Swimbooker. The Specimen Pond is booked in advance by phone.

A CHANGING WATER

Scarlett's summer levels

Scarlett's is also a farm irrigation reservoir. Its level can drop significantly during summer, changing the appearance of the margins and occasionally limiting the road-bank single swims.

The purpose-built double swims retain fishable sand margins during low water, and current swim availability is managed according to conditions.
